In a square compound on the east side of an un-named minor road.
LOCKED All surface features remain intact with some flaking of the light blue paint. A dome on the ventilation shaft indicates this was a master post. The ventilation louvers on the shaft adjacent to the access shaft have been removed. A disused telegraph pole stands in one corner of the compound it was replaced in 1977! There is some damage to the top of the access shaft. The hatch is locked internally but can be opened with a Scottish ‘T’ bar key. Internally much remains including the folding table, shelf, cupboard, battery box, crowbar, cluster map, large quantity of papers, various ROC magazines, three pairs of Wellington boots, cloud identification posters, bucket, Jerry can, posters, notice board, light/pull switch, BT junction box/wiring, mirror, crockery, teapot, candle holder, 3 duffle coats, washing bowl, waste bin, cleaning materials, two ventilation louvres and a leather waistcoat
Opened in 1960 and closed in 1991.
