Sub Brit tried to get access to this site some years ago but were refused. The images were taken from a passing ferry using a large zoom lens.
Building near the tunnel entrance and possibly a second tunnel South of there as well as some other unidentified structures.

TAT-1 was the first Transatlantic telephone cable, it carried the “Hot Line”. It was inaugurated on 25th September 1956.
The Eastern end came ashore in Gallanach Bay near Oban, the Western end at Clarenville, Newfoundland. The repeater station at Gallanach was built in a tunnel for protection, there are some images of the repeater station on the BT Archive. Also images of the tunnel at Gallanach.
