LOCKED The post has been preserved as a feature at the back garden of this new house. All surface features remain intact although the mound has been removed down to the roof of the monitoring room leaving everything standing on several courses of bricks. All surface features including the brickwork originally below the soil has been painted dark green. The hatch is locked. There is a hole in the side of the ventilation shaft. The side of the monitoring room has been exposed and a hole has been cut into this and a recessed door has been fitted to give easy access. The post is now used as a wine cellar.
Opened in 1961 and closed in 1968.
