On a low mound within a high secure compound beside a public footpath 50 yards East of B5110.
OPEN All surface features remain intact with some flaking of the sandy pink paint. A dome and aerial bracket on the ventilation shaft indicates this was a master post. The two padlocks are locked in the open position and the original locking bar is also in place but the hatch is open. Internally remaining artefacts include the table, shelf, cupboard, canvas folding chair, battery box, BPI mount (detached), rack of wooden shelves (detached), BT connection boxes and wiring, one pair of Wellington boots (ladies) and a few papers. The sump pump has been replaced with a non standard marine pump. The post was closed in 1968 but following a local reorganisation of posts in 1989 it was recommissioned.
