On a low mound 30 yards into an arable field on the East side of Bluestone Heath Road (A16)
OPEN All surface features remain intact with the light green paint in good condition except on the hatch which is open. Internally there are two single beds, cupboard, folding shelf and table, a second cupboard with two drawers, a narrow mattress, metal splint, BPI mounting board, mirror, two lights, a ‘balls up’ chart, notices, two chairs, photographic paper for GZI, rope, fire blanket box, dustpan and a long wooden frame (unknown purpose - perhaps a long low bench seat for the narrow mattress). The post has been built back to front. The land was sold in 2002 but the post is still in much the same condition as in 1999 apart from the wooden frame which has now been removed.
Opened in 1961 and closed in 1991.
