75 yards north of B7078 in a field at the top of an embankment at the end of a line of telephone poles. On the east side a field boundary.
LOCKED All surface features are intact apart from the top of the ventilation shaft which is detached and is lying on the ground nearby. There is some flaking of the green paint. The ventilation louvres have been replaced and are non standard with very small louvres on the ventilation shaft adjacent to the access shaft. There has been erosion around both shafts due to animals and the concrete apron which is painted green, around the access shaft has cracked. The main ventilation shaft also has a concrete apron, painted green. The hatch is locked but can be opened with a Scottish ‘T’ bar key. Internally the following artefacts remain: table, shelf, cupboard, 2 chairs, 3 mattresses, WB1401 carrier receiver and WB1410 filter unit, Tele-talk, BT junction boxes/wiring, light, saucepan, mirror, plastic bowl, 3 large wooden corner shelves (above battery position), another wooden shelf, some papers, battery box, rope, two shelves and a seat in the toilet, dustpan and a plastic bucket.

There is a green concrete plinth near the last telegraph pole. (30' from the underground post) It is ‘T’ shaped with a deep 12" X 9" recess in the middle. It is assumed this has something to do with an aircraft post. There is a junction box 5' up the pole alongside.
Opened in 1964 and closed in 1991.
