Beside a factory on the north side of a farm track, 150 yards west of Dundee Road (A92)
LOCKED All surface features remain intact with some flaking of the green paint. A key is broken in one of the padlocks.
Restored post which is opened to the public several days a year. Like other restored posts, no equipment is left unattended in the post.
It is listed by Historic Scotland as a category C building and was listed on 21/12/2011.
A report in The Courier says the Arbroath water tower was ‘since its closure, the B-listed building has been used as an observation post by the Royal Observer Corps’.
Opened in 1958 and closed in 1991.
