In a square compound beside a railway line. On the south side of an un-named minor road (across railway line).
LOCKED All surface features remain intact with the green paint in good condition. The louvers are hanging off the ventilation shaft. The hatch has been forced open and will not close properly as one padlock hasp has been forced out of the concrete surround. Internally much remains including numerous papers, cluster map, BPI mount, light and switch, BT junction boxes and wiring, fuse box and wiring, small splint and the hatch locking bar. The original folding table and shelf have been replaced by two floor standing tables (2001). When revisited in 2007 the hatch had been secured with a new padlock.
Opened in 1961 and closed in 1991.
