On the north side of a track about 150 yards east from Scoonie Golf Club clubhouse, on top of a hill.close to trig. station.
LOCKED The post has been painted black, though this has mainly now been removed. The concrete around the hatch has been chipped away but the hatch is still in place and secure by means of the original fixings. The wooden louvres have been removed and the ventilations shafts bricked up. A new set of concrete steps up to the top of the hatch have been made, but appear to have subsided slightly. A new padlock and hasp (with protective cover) have also been added. The FSM and BPI pipes have been completely removed. There is a mark in the grass where they were. It would appear that the post is now used by the golf club as a storage facility. There is a concrete plinth to one side of the access shaft.
Opened in 1961 and closed in 1968.
