In a small rectangular compound on a field boundary on top of Elbury Hill, 120 yards south of un-named road.
OPEN All surface features remain intact with the green paint in good condition. There is a sign fixed to the side of the access shaft which reads ‘Crown Property Keep Out’. The top of the shaft has been badly damaged by somebody breaking in. The concrete around the hatch surround has been hacked away to gain access. The still padlocked hatch and its surround still sit on top of the shaft attached to the counter balance weight. Internally the folding table, shelf and cupboard remain together with the body splint, small metal splint, 2 first aid posters, tool board, waste bin, 2 spare sump handles and some wiring including a 2 pin socket by the timer.
Opened in 1962 and closed in 1991.
