In a small rectangular compound on Saunton Down 400 yards along steep overgrown path east of Croyde Road (B3231), at the end of a long line of telegraph poles. The first hundred feet of the path are concrete steps up the steep hillside.
OPEN All surface features remain intact with the green paint flaking. The hatch is badly corroded and open. Internally the table, shelf, cupboard, twin bunks, single bed, siren box, BPI mount, light, BT wiring and junction box and a tool board remain in situ. August 2017 - now sealed
A separate compound beside the last telegraph pole was for the aircraft post of which there is no trace other than a junction box and fitting for headset on the telegraph pole.
Opened in 1961 and closed in 1991.
