On plateau on the south side of a field boundary just inside Crichen Wood, 300 yards north of Kirkcubbright Farm. Very steep climb from the south, best approached from Crichen Farm to the north.
DEMOLISHED There is no evidence of the underground post apart from a disused telegraph pole on the edge of the plateau. The post closed in 1975 with Auldgirth re-opening to replace it.
An Orlit A stands on the hilltop to the north (NY77029022). Part of the wood and corrugated metal roof over the open observation area remains in place. There is a disused telegraph pole nearby.
Opened in 1962 and closed in 1975.
