Station Name: TANHOUSE LANE
looking east towards the site of Tan House Lane Station showing the remaining GC & MR Widnes Loop line at Tan House Lane yard in 1982. This section of the line had been kept to service a cement factory at Tan House Lane. The yard was situated on the west side of the lane whilst the station was on the east side. The station site was right of centre on the picture and just out of view. Shortly after the picture was taken these lines were lifted and new sidings installed to the right of the picture. The new sidings were connected to the Ditton to Manchester via Warrington and Lymm
