[Source: Nick Catford]

Date opened: 1.7.1895
Location: On the north side of Station Road (A484)
Company on opening: Great Western Railway
Date closed to passengers: 15.9.1952
Date closed completely: Unknown
Company on closing: British Railways (Western Region)
Present state: Assumed demolished as current maps show buildings on the site.
County: Cardiganshire
OS Grid Ref: SN313404
Date of visit: August 1967

Notes: Terminus of a line from Carmarthen. As originally planned it would have been an intermediate station on the Carmarthen - Cardigan Railway but the line never went beyond Newcastle Emlyn. The station remained open for goods traffic long after the passenger service was withdrawn in 1952. There have been a proposal to reinstate a steam service on the line in more recent years but this amounted to nothing.
