The communications mast is being dismantled this week. The local radio amateur repeater group has acquired it and is to be reinstalled next to the Home Office radio site at Cave Wold(Weedley). It will replace a triangular wind up mast that is the location of a VHF, UHF and slow scan t.v. repeater.

This provides some details and pictures of the current system based in three bunkers at Buchan (Northern Command) and Neatishead (Southern Command) and the radar school & stand-by site at Boulmer.
