The bunker is in fair condition, it is dry with only a small amout of rubbish inside. The main observation room has fallen forward from the main bunker and is now broken apart, The bunker is very unusual in as much that it is built in to the flood defence bank and this had defined it's shape. The whole bunker slopes down from West to East and from North to South this also leads to its very unusual shape. To the East of the bunker is a small steel structure which crosses the water filled drainage ditch, this may of carried telephone cables back to the airfield PBX.
