Close to the Exeter Airport perimeter track 100 metres West of terminal building.
DEMOLISHED When visited in July 2000 all surface features are intact and in good condition. The access shaft is painted green but the ventilation shaft is white. A dome and bracket on the ventilation shaft indicates this was a master post. The post was demolished on August 6th 2002 as it was regarded as a danger to large aircraft using the adjacent taxiway. Until 2002 it was occasionally used by the Devon Fire & Rescue service, as well as the Airport Fire Brigade, to practice casualty evacuations. The adjacent pillbox was also demolished
There was a Type 24 pillbox 10 metres to the West.
Opened in 1962 and closed in 1991.
