On the South side of an un-named minor road.
OPEN All surface features remain intact but the soil cover over the monitoring room has been eroded down to the roof leaving the access shaft with its surrounding concrete apron and the ventilation shaft standing on ten courses of bricks and the FSM pipe on top of a concrete column. The BPI pipe is bent over. There is some flaking of the green paint. The top of the access shaft was rebuilt in 1989 and a new larger hatch (Torlift) fitted. The security plug is in place but the hatch is not locked. Internally much remains including the table, shelf, cupboard, corner shelf rack (no shelves), BT connection boxes and wiring, visitors log, notices, light, mirror, ROC magazines, some papers, long notice board, battery box, rope and a net.
Opened in 1960 and closed in 1991.
